Image previews in panel sections require Image object… can i somehow force it to show image from public url?

Maybe creating the object just from url? I understand it’s because thumbnails but i can just give it small thumbnail everywhere.

Should be possible with a virtual file: Virtual files | Kirby CMS (without replacing the files() method, but you could use a different method that then returns that file. However, you would have to adapt the file version component as well for these paths.
