Yes, I think that will cause conflicts. If you need a page called media, you can rename the media folder though and set the roots and urls to that renamed folder in your index.php.

I have a client who needs a section called “Media” with URL /media. Was able to build this out on the back-end but currently seeing a blank page when visiting the URL, I assume because of the conflict with the actual media folder. Does anyone know what roots would need to be set to make this work? Thank you!
