Thank you that you tested textarea, but I would prefer if you tested markdown.
I tested the markdown field, not the textarea, as you can see from the screenshot. I also advised that you clear the media folder.
I am sorry, it looks the same as textarea field. (My markdown does not have those format icons)
What media folder you mean? You mean all those images I already have on my public website?
The /media folder that is automatically created by Kirby, where Kirby copies files from the content folder, thumbs, Panel assets etc.
The markdown field I tested is the one from here
with no additional settings.
Maybe you are using a different version of the field or an old version. you know best what you have installed and in which version.
While both fields look similar, they don’t look identical (e.g. the textarea field doesn’t have the eye icon):
