Is it possible to serve panel from the root URL?

Example: you visit https://example.com/ and have kirby panel opened?

You can move the panel to a different URL described here, but im not sure about making it the root.

Maybe you can with a custom folder setup.

Different URL: Neither slug => '/' nor slug => '' work, I’ve already tried that. Will investigate custom folder setup.

Edit: The custom folder setup is for directories only, not URL. Will update the OP accordingly.
