When I use the thumb() method with ‘crop’ => true, it correctly uses the focal point set on the image. But then it also zooms in on the focal point. Is there a way to disable that behaviour?
Are you sure that is what is happening? It might be that the image can not be made to fit its target dimensions without making a ”close crop” which might give the appearance that image is zoomed on the focal point. E.g a square image source which is set to crop to a landscape format. Also check frontend css and look what is generated in the media folder
