Performance for 10000 pages by tags with pagination?

Has anyone built a big site with a few thousand pages? If my testing with Kirby 2.1 goes well I will use it on big projects. Let’s say I have this: 10 000 item pages Tags or categories to every page List pages by a tag for example /books Pagination with 20 pages per page 20 fields per item page The item pages will remove and add 20 item pages each day Questions Kirby needs to go through all 10 000 item pages to find out which pages uses what tags, right? How fast / slow is that? Any tests?…

General question: where are the bottlenecks in Kirby right now? How can we as a community improve the performance and reduce the response time? Ideas?

Kirby panel support for database

Intro Projects might contain 1000 or more blog posts, which can be tough for Kirby to handle when they are in text files. I wish that Kirby also would be able to load the data from a database, into the panel. How to I use MySql. Other people might prefer another database. Then it might seem hard to support them all, especially all the different database table setups. I have an idea for a solution to that problem. Don’t let Kirby handle those things at all.
