An automatically updating page of "On This Day" photos?

Newbie here, haven’t started building my site but wondering if something is possible.

I have a collection of photos, organized by day of the year (eg, photos taken on April 26, photos taken on April 27, and so forth). I’d like to have a page that pulls from this collection and displays what photos I’ve uploaded that are tagged with this day of the year (eg, if today is April 26, then I want to display photos from a folder marked “April 26”). Is there a way to create a page that automagically pulls photos from “this day” of the year? Or even just a link that automatically updates to point to a page for a particular date based on what day of the year today is? Or some other way of hacking this together? Appreciate the help!

Yes, that’s possible. Ideally, you would extract that information from the image once, then store it in the Kirby file metadata. You can then filter by this information.

Or you organize files in folders by date, and then pick the relevant files folder. The latter might be the better option if we are talking of thousands of files.
