# What's needed for thumbs

Hello, I’ve just built PHP 7.0.2 on my server, and it seems like I’m missing something for the thumbs to generate properly, as you can see on my website [bratteng · com](https://bratteng.me/#work)  
What do I need to get the thumbs to work?

I used this guide to compile the php [How to Run Multiple Versions of PHP on One Server — SitePoint](http://www.sitepoint.com/run-multiple-versions-php-one-server/)

Do you have a `thumbs` folder in your root folder and is it writeable?

Woops, seems like I had forgot to chown the folders. It’s working now
