# Trigger update hook on page()-\>update()?

I use `page()->update()` and the update hook will not fire. I guess that’s because the hooks are ment for the panel.

Is it possible to trigger a hook to run? In this case the update hook?

Yes, you can trigger a hook like this:

````auto
kirby()->trigger('panel.page.update', $page);
```
````
