What sort of tables do you need? Do they have to be inserted within a text field? If not, you can probably build them using a structure field.

Don’t know if it helps, but I have created a plugin [that reads simple tables from an excel file](https://github.com/texnixe/kirby-spreadsheet) provided by a kirbytag.

Edit: There’s also this table field: [Kirby Table Editor (snippet)](https://forum.getkirby.com/t/kirby-table-editor-snippet/4699)
