# Modifying data before send to panel/ after receiving from panel

(1) Is there a mechanism to alter the data of a page that is sent to the panel before it is saved.  
E.g. a hook like “page.load:after”?

(2) To change data coming from the panel before it is saved, is the hook (“page.update:before”) to be used best practice?
