We are working on our first bigger release since Kirby 4

> **[Release 4.1.0-rc.1 · getkirby/kirby](https://github.com/getkirby/kirby/releases/tag/4.1.0-rc.1)**

> New page create dialog features
> The page create dialog now allows to hide the title and/or slug field by defining a string template that will be used instead

Some highlights:

✨ New page create dialog features
🎨 Color field: query and API support for options
🗡 New “sharpen” option for thumbnails
🌎 New link field previews

But we’ve also added quite a bunch of bug fixes and smaller enhancements.

Keep in mind that those 4.x releases are no longer comparable to what we did with 3.5, 3.6 … 3.9, etc. We are now on proper semantic versioning and this release is comparable to 3.9.1 or 3.9.2 for example. We still try to keep them entertaining and worth an update. But the main goal is to keep them without any breaking changes. You should be able to swap out the kirby folder and be done.

What stays the same though, is that we really benefit from any testers who are able to give the release candidates a test run. The stable release is planned for next Tuesday.
