# Font Awesome as plugin?

Hey,

in the backend I want to have field that I can use to choose a Icon of Font Awesome.  
This Icon have to be show in the frontend as well.

I find this [solution](https://forum.getkirby.com/t/custom-field-font-awesome-icons/2241) but I don’t know if it’s compatible with the current version of kirby.

Ok. Then I will try it in the next days.

I need it for my blog. I plan some different post types and want to display a list of the last posts on the main blog page with a symbol - e.g. for a link or gallery.

you could also embed [fontawesome as javascript from their cdn](http://fontawesome.io/get-started/#get-started-cdn). its way smaller than embedding the complete css file. they generate a embed snippet for you and send it to your email.
