Feature request - Frontend CSS framework for web apps / dashboards

Hi, I’ve just created a private In/Out dashboard for my studio. Its mobile first and has an uncluttered design. For this project I used the Simple.css Framework.

What I’m wondering is if it would be beneficial for Kirby to have a builtin utilitarian CSS framework for the frontend. This would speed up development for projects like my In/Out board and remove the pain of searching for CSS frameworks. It also feels like it wouldn’t be a huge leap as the Kirby UI is well refined and one of the reasons I like the platform. It could also give the platform an advantage over others for rapid dashboard development.

Just a thought, feedback welcome.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I don’t think this will happen.

The frontend is totally yours with Kirby. Yes, such frameworks can speed up development, but it is for every developer/agency to decide, what framework, if any, is suitable for their purposes. Many do have their own “frameworks”, others use TailwindCSS, yet again others still stick with Bootstrap.

Integrating such a framework would therefore not align with Kirby’s philosophy.

BTW: Feedback and suggestions are welcome at https://feedback.getkirby.com

Tailwind Catalyst UI Kit is the sort of thing I’m looking for. Will have a read.
