It was not clear for me, that this is/will be an lingonberry specific thing. that’s why i did not invite you or i did not use github issues for this. but yes. it would be nice to have gravatar-support optional. i’ll open a github issue.
I’m not a coder or developer and my opinion is absolutely not driven by any related skillz.
IMHO i think that the kirby core should not provide this function. i think, calling gravatar should be a theme- and/or plugin-thing.
but it’s ok. i’ll hop to github and the lingonberry theme for this topic.
@S1SYPHOS It wasn’t my intent to criticize Lingonberry (although I think there are probably things to improve that are due to staying too close to the original), I was talking about themes in general.
I know, just messing with you a little. But you’re right, I guess. Although, loop.php is supposed to be very DRY where the original Lingonberry is not - especially since it also works when returning search results & other queries (tags, categories, etc). If you come across something noteworthy to improve, let me know.
