Custom (sub) menus in panel mainmenu

Hi,

Is it possible to create (expandable) (sub)menus in the control panel left sidebar.
All the info I see is talking about single menu entries without sub- ie child-menus.

Where to find the info if this is possible?

For all I know, this is not possible out-of-the-box. Maybe you can overwrite the k-panel-menu` component.

I will work around by creating a single menu item and route to subsequent levels from this panel view / page.

Another way could be to add a custom menu button via the normal way but that opens a custom dialog which then has the sublinks. Not directly a dropdown but could get you somewhere.
