Hi,

the cache folder of the site of one client has become very large over the time. (he made no updates) - Can I delete the cache folder without any worries? (…site/cache)

I’m a little bit surprised, because cache isn’t activated in the config. is it activated by default?

Yes, the cache folder can be deleted. Note that the cache folder also contains the UUID cache and might contain plugin caches. So even if the page cache is not used, it will finally contain files.

However, if no changes whatever are ever made to the site, I might be worth checking out what it contains before you delete it.
