# Browser can't find panel when data is put into root without parent folder

Kirby plainkit is working fine when downloaded in local environment (MAMP) and also on a server. But when I put all the data directly into the root folder without the parent folder (plainkit-main) the browser is not able to load any subpage (including panel) but says ‘The requested URL was not found on this server’. Just the start page is shown as usual.

Did you transfer the `.htaccess` file? this is usually hidden. It is located at the same level as the main index.php
