# Accessing datbase tables from the panel

Hi,

I’m building a custom webshop with Kirby and would like to use the file system for all products. The orders however should ideally be stored in some sort of database. I have worked with databases in Kirby before. Is there a possibility to connect the panel to said database? Ideally I could look at all table rows like pages that display the order details.

yes this is possible via virtual pages

I used virtual pages before, but in other ways and forgot that they are indeed accesible from the panel!
