Ok, first the doc says “This converts your image to a maximum size of 1024x1024 px” and your settings use bigger values, can you try with smaller ones?
Just a wild guess, untested: the plugin does autoOrient before resize. What if you modify the script (lines 86 to 90) to apply resize before autoOrient?
