Loving all those sites 'round here - Highly inspirational!
I switched our company website from Squarespace to self hosted kirby. Sooooo much faster now.
Under the hood is this contraption of snippets that defers parameters and template names to a single render.php template that then looks for certain snippets to render instead of using the regular “filename.txt = templatename.php”.
Here’s the craziness in a graph.
The site uses subpages as the sections of a page, so our team can edit different sections of a same page at the same time. Also keeps the content in manageable chunks in my opinion.
And of course it’s sweet that everything is now versioned and completely at my fingertips.
Just finished a site for a client.
I went for the simple and minimalistic look with a simple vertical navigation bar.
The client wanted a simple way to edit the pages, where Kirby was the perfect candidate.

Hi all,
I put my portfolio online with Kirby a few months ago.
This one is made with Kirby and Motörhead…
Neither a portfolio, nor an agency site. Just a site for a (German) theatre, made with kirby: http://www.kellertheater.de
Hi everyone!
I’m a 17-year-old student from Klosterneuburg, Austria and just recently redesigned our school website. The first version was built with WordPress, but after being fed up with bad performance and MySQL nonsense I started afresh with Kirby. And I couldn’t be happier. It’s still very much Work in Progress, but I’m happy to get some feedback on the current state of things.

I just recently launched my first Kirby powered website as a medium to publish transcriptions of the hundreds of letters my g-g-uncle and his wife wrote during his service in the American Civil War: http://cecilsletters.com.
Gotta say, I’ve never had so much fun working with a CMS before. For a data-driven project like this, where each letter has a host of metadata, it was the perfect fit. The filtering abilities are incredible!
I can’t wait to put some more milage on Kirby for client projects. Couldn’t be happier.
I designed the website for cellu l’art, an international short film festival in Jena, Germany.
The source code is available on GitHub.
Just launched a site for a coffee roaster in Portland, Oregon: Upper Left Roasters.
Fun bits included:
- A series of experiments in making “stacks” of photos, progammatically (sizing similarly, and distributing about the page, tastefully, with some randomness introduced)
- Current open/closed state, based on ranges of days and times entered into structure fields
- Associating groups of photos to particular sections on the homepage (via a special Slideshow blueprint, used within one top-level Slideshows page in the Panel)
