Dash docset for Kirby

Does anyone else here use the Dash app for reference while coding?

I’m interested in putting together a docset for Kirby, so I can reference the cheat sheet while I’m coding offline. https://kapeli.com/docsets#dashDocset

I wonder if someone has done this already? Who else is interested?

I don’t use Dash but downloaded the full Kirby-Hompage from GitHub to run it in a local server when coding offline …

Mmm, the cheat sheet is on Github. This could make the process fairly simple…

Hi Sam,

I’m a long(ish) time Dash app user and would be very interested in a Kirby Docset.

Thank you.

This has been discussed here before Dash integration, but I guess as long as no one just goes ahead and does it, it’s not gonna happen :pensive:

Alright, a Dash docset for the Cheat Sheet is here!

I plan to expand it to include all the Kirby docs, but I just wanted to start small

You can download the docset here: https://github.com/samnabi/Dash-User-Contributions/raw/master/docsets/Kirby/Kirby.tgz

Pull request submitted to the official repo: https://github.com/Kapeli/Dash-User-Contributions/pull/498

Any issues or suggestions, leave them here!

Installed the kirby.docset and getting a file not found error… any ideas?

Yeah, I get the same error.

@texnixe @Jan Sorry folks, I forgot to run the command that packages the latest updates into the download file. The link above should work now.

Nice job, thanks @samnabi

Downloaded it and i like it

Thank you.

I could use it for the first time today. Really, really handy alternative to the online docs!

Wow – thanks for your effort; works well at this end!

I just noticed that the browser link:

points to some local address (http://www.docset.local/docs/cheatsheet#…).
Shouldn’t this be http://getkirby.com/docs/cheatsheet# ?

has anyone created a dash docset for the kirby toolkit?

Yes, you can find it in on of the other comments:

… it’s not really polished though.

sure kirby cheatsheet its available within dash already. but i was asking about the toolkit. http://getkirby.com/docs/toolkit/

Ah, sorry – misread that.

I found a solution though – it’s not avaiblable prepackaged but as part of the automatically generated PHP docset list (search in Dash via “PHP Docset” in the “Download” pane).
Without the descriptions from the getkirby page, but still helpful if you’re looking for class components and the like.

thanks @Paracetamol, just what I was looking for.

I have updated this Dash docset to Kirby 2.3.2 with the full docs, toolkit API, and cheatsheet from at http://getkirby.com/docs.

While the pull request is pending, you can download it from my fork for now:
